Y-Corps Overview

Y-Corps is a service-learning program of the YMCA, engaging students in direct and indirect service, philanthropy, and advocacy. Over the course of the year, Y-Corps members are asked to perform service in their local communities, fundraise for the Y’s scholarship fund, and advocate on behalf of the YMCA movement.

The program culminates with a service trip to communities around the region, with destinations such as:

  • Service Sites & Organizations
  • Partner YMCAs (Hosts/Lodging)
  • Educational & Research Institutions
  • Government Agencies & Offices
  • Cultural & Historic¬†Landmarks
  • State & National Parks/Monuments

As part of the launch of our Campus YMCA efforts, we are surveying our chapter members about a potential Y-Corps team: Service to the United States.

This team would embark on their service trip in the late spring (Late May – Early June), serving in a different region of the country each year with partner universities, YMCAs, service organizations, and public policy experiences.

This fall, we are surveying our Campus YMCA members about Y-Corps, and will announce more information later in the semester.
